About
We empower Catholic men to live their faith at home
Founded on the principles of charity, unity and brotherhood, the Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, associate pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Connecticut, and a group of parishioners. Their goal? Strengthen the faith of members and provide material and financial assistance to their sick, disabled and needy members of their families. These two reasons motivated the founding of the order.
"The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal benefit society. It can help provide financial security to its members and their families while transforming bonuses into charitable efforts."
